sovrn holdings

Trying to make money online can be a lonely path. Sovrn Holdings do not care about their affiliate marketers, I learnt that four weeks after I had signed up. I mean, they ask you to actually promote their merchants, even before they actually get round to (four weeks it took them, for me) approving or disapproving my website status.

As an affiliate marketer who signed up to Sovrn Holdings aka Sovrn // Commerce, I was excited and confident. I began adding link after link believing that it would lead to somewhere and with enough hard work I would be soon able to earn enough money from home. Having Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder, it is difficult to do anything on days of overwhelm, but I can accomplish so much on days where my emotions are actually balanced. So I added post after post, merchant after merchant on this website.

However, over four weeks after I had signed up to Sovrn Holdings, I was told that my site was disapproved, with no reason given. My heart sank to the floor. I mean I always have the thoughts in my head that I am a loser (father issues, I guess), but I just wanted to die. “What’s the point in trying to complete in such a dog-eat-dog world where the richer get rich and the poor are just left to rot”. I wrote a letter to Sovrn Holdings in fury, threatening them with court action and charging them for the time I had already put in.

It was over three or four weeks later when I decided that I would put in the court claim, as I hadn’t heard from the CEO Walter Knapp, and only after I had submitted the claim did I hear back from someone in that department. He was helpful and courteous, and even said with the changes they could reconsider my website again. I was shocked. Apparently, I had not put a privacy notice or terms or conditions, so I added these, responded, and told them that because I hadn’t heard back in the time frame I allocated, I had already put in the court claim.

There was no apology from Sovrn Holdings as to why they took over four weeks for them to approve or disapprove my website, just that they would counterclaim against me for the costs of the claim. Then an email from the same guy who was kind and courteous, was suddenly cold. This website could be approved, according to what they say, but because of pride, they forgot my kindness and grace in actually closing the court claim and losing £70. With my mental illness, it was too stressful for me, and this is a million (perhaps billion) dollar industry, I would never lose and it’s not worth the stress.

Stupid me believed in Sovrn Holdings, put in over fifty hours work, and got shafted. Don’t let them shaft you. I mean, they ask you to get just one link to get approved, but on a new website it takes time to build up the posts and links, and our time is not free, and then they can just shaft you when they want to. This is not a kind company. They are cut throat just like the majority of firms today.

Clearly, they hate what I did, and yet they have NOT apologised for their ill treatment of me in all the time I put into promoting their merchants, and I wonder how many other talented hard working individuals who have signed up as an affiliate marketer with Sovrn Holdings / Sovrn // Commerce and been left to rot.

So it’s not worth my time removing the 250+ discount codes and deals that I have added through their Sovrn Chromelink Extension. I can do what I can do to warn others of their mistreatment so that you do not waste your time.

Have you had a similar experience with Sovrn Holdings, Sovrn / Commerce who were previously Viglink.
